Horse Racing Statistics
Reading a below thread I was interested by statistics presented by Wesmip1 & Stix.
eg Barrier <11 Winners 27,806 85% of all Winners $7.75 av Price of winner I've heard of certain statistics being discussed in media, horse forums etc, but was wondering how valid they are. For example, to name a few. Favourites win 33% of the time. Odds of less than 6/1 or $7 win - 75%. Horse running 14 days or less win - 85% Last start winners - 50% Are statistics like these readily available, and if so where would a punter view them? Cheers |

Favourites win 33% of the time. Depends on the year but ranges from 27% to 36%. Overall around 30%. Odds of less than 6/1 or $7 win - 75%. Closer to 60% Horse running 14 days or less win - 85% Closer to 50% Last start winners - 50% Closer to 20% |

Try inracing. The statistical data base is run over 100,s of thousands of races and are as accurate as your likely to get. Cheers. darky. |
Thanks Stix / Wesmip1. I have been offline and I am appreciative of those responses. I'm surprised by the the low % of winners under $7.
Theoretically, fav's win 33% approx avg $3, that leaves 27% between $3 to $7 and approx 40% over $7. I really wouldn't have thought that many winners over $7. Thanks again much appreciated. |
