Tennis with TonyMess for charity

For the next few weeks I'll post my prices and thoughts on the tennis match and ask that you visit my charity page and if you enjoy the prices please dig deep.

I'm raising money for the 'Life Education' charity, by going alcohol free for the entire month of October. OZmium is supporting me and a big thanks to them. A link to my fund raising webpage is on the smartgambler.com.au website or visit everydayhero.com.au/tony_messenger

Please visit my site and if you back a winner donate some cash for the children's education.

Bangkok

Chiudinelli 2.13 vs Tsonga 1.89 - A potential upset is on the cards here. Tsonga playing for 43 mins longer yesterday, but he didn't offer a single break chance in his 2 hour 12 min match which shows he is going alright. I've backed Chiudinelli to at least take a set.

Isner 1.32 vs Troicki 4.08 - Big serve of Isner probably gets him over the line. My concern is that he played yesterday and Troicki played on Wednesday - Toicki lost few points in his R2 match (on his own serve) and saved his only break chance he offered. Could be closer than my prices predict.

Kuala Lumpur

Gonzalez 1.75 vs Youzhny 2.34 - A close one to call, value with the Russian Bear but I'll skip this.

Verdasco 1.27 vs Gasquet 4.70 - Gasquet not long back from his enforced break (where he beat a positive cocaine test) and had a 2 hour slog against Pim Pim last night, saved 7 of the 8 break points he offered so going okay though. Verdasco served at a poor 55% in his R2 win and offered 9 break chances. Those stats say that I'm not taking the short price Verdasco. For the record Gasquet is 33 wins and 21 losses to lefties.

Well we lobbed with the Chiudinelli to take a set bet. Let's see if we can find a winner today.

Bangkok

Troicki 3.16 vs Tsonga 1.46 - Watched Tsonga's match and he's not 100% focused, dunno why as he can tee up a spot at season ending Masters if he does well. If he switches on he should win this, if he plays like he did for a set and half last night he loses.

Simon 1.94 vs Melzer 2.07 - Toss a coin here, Simon 26 wins and 23 losses to lefties on court for 37 minutes longer in his Quarter Final match which leans me to Melzer but nothing in this.

Kuala Lumpur

Soderling 2.14 vs Davydenko 1.88 - Both win convincing Quarter Final wins and another toss a coin match.

Verdasco 1.66 vs Gonzalez 2.51 - Gonzo 34 wins and 18 losses to lefties and similar stas in the Quarters. Couldn't punt with any confidence here.

Nothing today for me but if you're desperate for a punt I'd try Melzer and Davydenko at the odds against hoping one wins to show a profit.

Bangkok Final

Simon 1.57 vs Troicki 2.76 - Bookies price it roughly the same as myself (if they bet to 100% that is). No value here but expect Simon to add to his 5 ATP titles (from 7 Finals at that level or higher) and Troicki to still remain a maiden for a title at this level (made the Final of Washington last year but lost to Del Potro).

Kuala Lumpur Final

Verdasco 1.84 vs Davydenko 2.19 - Toss a coin and both very experienced at this level and beyond. Anyone could win this.

In summary I expect Simon to win but price is a tad short for mine so I'll have a night off.

You're getting this rating info free of charge so help out Life Education Australia and donate some money via my Ocsober webpage at everydayhero.com.au/tony_messenger. To date I've raised over $900 and want to hit $2k before month's end - every $7 helps to educate one more child so please help them out.

Cheers

Tony
