Bryzz

I found that basing a set of your own thoughts around the UNITAB ratings is probably the best place to start.
I,d go for those ratings at 92 - 100.

Here,s a thought.

Look at those ratings Priced between $4 - $10.

I,ve found over the years that the last 4 races generally have the better priced winners

Cheers mate I'm under the impression whatever rating system you use it willaverage out as long as you always use the same?

After adding one more rule I have increased my win pot from 17% to 55% POT. However in saying this it's only early this also reduced my three week bets from 79 to 43.

It was interesting to find that the place return was decreased at this point so it has become two systems now the original for place only and the new rule makes it a special that is bet for a win...

I base my selections on tabform pre-post faves...

It is going to take a while to run sufficient testing time but it's looking ok

Hey darky just just wondering??? If my average price is 4.85 and I can back them as soon as I have scratchings (set and forget) where would be the best place to open an account?

I know there has been much discussion on this matter already but interested in your thoughts onthe matter?

Betfair Is your best bet.
I have 2 Accounts IAS and UNITAB.

I cant seem to get my head around Betfair myself.

Yeah I been looking at the different options. Do you bet half in each account?

Betfair does look difficult to work out set and forget is the best way for me...anyone wanna shed some light?

I alternate between IAS and UNITAB for whose offering the best price.
Normally I bet FIXED Price .
I,ve found that over $11 TOTE price is usually better. But swings and roundabouts.
I,d say that the majority of my bets would be on UNITAB.
Basically I bet 3 - 4 horses a race. That way I reduce my number of outs and that suits me admirably.
Since I normally bet the last 4 races i,m stuck in front of the computer around 3 hours per day.

That's interesting in my small trial I have found ias beat stab for the fav price. I did have one winner priced at $16 dollars which I found stab to beat the others by a dollar. So by my average winner usually being shorter I think best tote will be beneficial... Hopefully

On a completely different topic... I'm interested in some of your systems if your still willing to share them? I have a lot to learn...

Hi bryz55,

You can compare Betfair SP vs the Tote at:

Betfair racing zone

If you click on the calendar at the top left of the screen, you can go to any date to compare prices.

Make sure you times Betfair prices by .95 to factor in commission.

One thing to note, you can't always get set at Betfair SP depending on the meeting.

Best of your luck with your efforts, from the way you have refined your selections and increased POT, it appears you may be onto something.

Hi theschmile,

Let's hope I'm onto something... You say can't always get set? Ideally to get the best price with betfair I would need to be watching each race? This doesn't suit me cause I will have trouble sticking to the plan it's much easier for me to put the bets on early and carry on with my day...

Wat is top fluc ? SP ?
