Hi Party,

I know like me youve got a thing for the pre post favorite, inspired by a thread of yours ive been keeping some records and trying a couple of things, give me a week or so and ill post some recent stats.

My latest thing is to use them as a back up or to compliment other ratings,it a novel idea and could be the base for a couple of nice systems.

P.S. Wodonga race 9 pre post fav no10 at $3.50,won paying $9.90 and $3.30 the place, massive overlay where the place price is almost as much as the nominated win price, too busy myself but would love someone to record some results and see if there is something worth following here, say bet all double overlays?

Dale,
I think one of the old forumites had a bit of a system along those lines.
From memory it went something like:

*Look at Bookies price.
*If you can get 1/2 bookies win odds for the place then back it. (eg Bookies price $5:00, need $2:50 for the place)

The theory being that you are getting 3 chances of a collect for 1/2 the price of what the Books have it for a win.
You could substitute the Bookies price with the Pre-post price perhaps.

May have been Kenchar's idea I think. Actually speaking of him, I wonder where he finished up?
Think he got sick of all the bickering and fighting.
Very wise old head was Kenchar.

I remember Kenchar,he had a very conservative approach, only bet for the place i think.

Need to run some tests for both double the win price and place price equal to the pre post price...............

Ah.So that was his approach.
I,ve always wondered about that.
Didn,t he get booted off the site for being a pest.
