A note here is that I recommend an investment strategy of 1 unit win and 5 units place. As a percentage punter with a high strike rate of placegetters, this strategy allows leverage for those times when it seems impossible to stike a winner but can compensate by placing the bulk of the investment on the place tote. As we know,it is futile to bet each-way on the tote as you do not receive the 1/4 odds for the place offered by the bookies. Therefore, on a regular basis you can jag a place-getter and still win on that race which leaves funds in the bank to have further bets.
