Laying the easy way
 

Providing another tidbit here for those who keep failing at making a profit.

Lay Barier 1 if it starts at or under $3 or less

In the last year there have been 402 selections for a profit of 19.17 after commission of 5%.

This works because:

1) Betfair prices mirror tab prices to a certain degree.
2) Ordinary tab punters bet too much on barrier 1
3) Causing the horse in barrier to be overbet.

Simple logic.

There are heaps of examples of 1 thing that causes people to overbet providing good laying opportunities. I am sure most of you can work out what they are. I suggest the above as a starting point for a laying system as you can increase the profit substanitally with a few good ideas.

Another that has an amazing poor record & shows a profit when Layed is..

. Barrier No.3 only.

.Priced 7.50-11.00

i'm guessing that both systems "laying barriers 1&3" would perform even better on wet tracks?
or does the average punter in that case tend to overbet the outside barriers?

Some days they do & other times they don't .

What I find fascinating with Horses from barrier 3, is the large number of them that get scratched on certain days.

It gives the impression, rightly or wrongly , that the connections don't want their Horse starting from barrier 3 ,so choose to scratch it instead, it is if they feel barrier No.3 is the industry's secret hoodoo barrier and don't want to talk about it... strange.
