King's Stand Stakes
 

One of my bookmakers has given me a $50 free bet to use during the Ascot carnival and I was thinking about using it on the King's Stand Stakes.
Pardon my ignorance, but I was wondering if the race is run down the straight. The reason I ask is because Star Witness has drawn barrier 18 which would be a herculian task to win from that draw if there is a turn in the race.
I also welcome anyone else's comments/tips for the race.
It should be a great night's racing. I'm also looking forward to watching Frankel destroy his opposition again.
