Test Lay Method
 

Since Monday I've been testing, unfortunately only "on paper" with a system. There's been 22 selections for no accidents.

The rules are simple.

1) Top BRR selection on R & S worksheet.
2) Must be under 96 points on Unitab's ratings.
3) No Maidens.
4) Selection must not be resuming from a spell.

If anyone's interested today's selections are:

I'll be laying them S.P. for $30. Hopefully the Curse will leave them alone.

Yesterday's five selections were beaten for a profit of $5.52. During the testing period a few selections started fave, so yesterday's results were a little disappointing.

Today's selections are:

Canberra
2/7

Northam
7/5

Scone
4/3
6/8

Maybe it will still fire well if all favs are deleted.

Yesterday was the only losing day so far and I'm quite certain it is still in front.

However, I was in two minds to even list the method because in most of them I've also been laying the field, and it became somewhat involved with both methods especially separating the results.

I've decided just to lay the field because it is performing so well, not only here but in England.

Hi Michael, are you laying all events in England including small fields, hurdles, steeples etc?

I have identical rules here and in England that identify the layable races.

In England I don't feel too comfortable if the field has more than 11 runners because I put the bets on anytime between 8.30 and 10.00 p.m (the later the better). I don't know why but it seems there is more scope in these larger races for the prices to change, particularly if there is a scratching(s) which quite often happens.

I think you really need a bot for these UK lay the field jaunts. Had a look at any?

True, it would be good but unfortunately I know practically nothing about computers and a bot would be beyond me. And even if I experimented with one I would be worried I would make a mess of it.

I'm using Betbotpro for my UK lay activities. It's far from perfect (feature wise) but it is fairly straight forward to use. It's simulation mode is probably what you want so as to get familiar with its in's and out's. Don't rely on simulation mode for any proper system testing though.

Not the best but I do keep coming back to it's simplicity.
