Win and Place Pools formula

Fine tuning part of a selection method, how to determine amount of money on each runner.
Is this simply dividing the Current Win Pool by Odds on offer ?

Win Pool: $100,00.00
TAB: 1: Win: $4.50

is the formula:
100,000.00 / 4.50 ?
= 22222.22222

or are there other considerations such as TAB take Etc ?

I'm fairly sure that the TABs show the gross pool figure so your calc should be correct.

It would have to be a nett figure to be correct. To be sure ring them and get it from the horses mouth.
