Oh found out it's illegal, but you can use a VPN, but if Thai authorities see you bet or hear about it, bring a boogie board!

Yep. This highlights an issue when travelling abroad.

If you gamble for a living then there are certain countries which you can not live in. Thailand, Iran, USA (parts of).

Its best not to do it if you are unsure of the consequences/local regulations.
