Watch the outside Barrier bias.
When it has been raining at the Valley, they put on a heap of sand. This naturaly affects the race outcomes. You will see great horses today LOOSING unless they are strictly front runners [would you perform well with sand being kicked in your face at race speed?]. This track is a disgrace. See the views of any Jockey or Trainer about it's appalling and dangerous condt.and outside Barrier bias. This is one camper that's money wont be visiting the Valley today. |

Thanks for the information on the track. REGARDS WILLIAM |
WHY EVEN CONSIDER A SLOW TRACK AT ALL.

wife and i in melbourne for saturday and went to the valley.
had great day although tough on the punt. magnificent win by yell. had a lucky cleanup on sciatica/ vicksburg quinella paid all the days costs etc. some criticisms of the valley many years since i was there. over staffed to blazes. still in the 19th century management wise. 3 red coats on every gate to ensure undesirables like myself (even though we paid $15 each to get in.) from entering anywhere where the vested interests or the elites might be. could nt find the gents near the cox plate room. asked 3 attendants (signs were up) but they didnt know either. one young red coated lady said she didnt need to know cause she didnt use that one. over all i am whinging a bit but really a great and enjoyable day. yell is a super horse. gauci outstanding. but i think the overheads of the track are far in excess and the track is not egalitarian enough for the clients. for what its worth. regards |
Hate to disagree but love the valley on a heavy track. Just look for leaders or horses racing handy and you cant lose. Back 3 or 4 in a race. R1 bet 3 got Best Picture $23.10 and went home straight away a very happy camper.
