Okay, here we go. Please read the rules carefully...


SPRING TIPPING COMP 2021

Here's how the comp works. We will all be tipping against each other for 10 weeks from this Saturday, Aug 21, through to Oct 23. Then at the completion of those 10 weeks, the top tipsters will fight it out in a final series conducted over the 4 days of the Melbourne Cup carnival.

RULES

1. Of the 10 weeks during the preliminary rounds, you must tip on at least 8 of them. You are allowed to miss 2 weeks. No more. People will have to start tipping by Sept 4 or they miss out.

2. You can post anywhere between 3 and 15 selections each week.

3. You can bet anywhere between $100 and $500 each week. The leading tipsters are judged on % profit, not the total amount of profit. So betting more overall won't give you a better chance. But you can change the amount you bet from week to week depending on your confidence.

4. You can tip at any Australian or New Zealand TAB gallops meeting on Saturdays.

5. On a regular race you can bet any of the following amounts:
$5 ew
$10 win
$10 ew
$20 win
$15 ew
$30 win
$20 ew
$40 win
$25 ew
$50 win

6. There is another bet size. But this is ONLY available on Group 1 races. If you wish, you can bet either $100win or $50ew on any group 1 race in either Australia or NZ.

7. Calculating your return: I will be using the closing tote and fixed odds prices on the Qld Tab and you will get whichever is the highest.
