Hi All,

as a complete newbie around these forums, can someone fill me in on all these advertisements which have sprung up over the past day or two? They clearly appear to be from the sponsors of the forums, yet the dates of the posts are all screwey, and the usernames are what you'd expect from a scammer and not a reputable outfit.

Personally, I have no problems with the sponsors of the forums advertising on them... They are after all their forums... I just wonder that if they are going to be advertising, why the strange names?

Cheers,
Chris.

Yes stebbo, commercialism at it's best, but really a small price to pay for such a great site like this one. Besides, I have become oblivious to anything with a lock on it, but with 300+ hits in an hour, somebody must be looking!

The strange names are there to stop you tracking them down.

Cheers.

But why bother if it's the sponsors of the forums who are posting?

Well it sounded good.

PS: You should pitch into the Sat. betting Comp. Stebbo. Any five races anywhere in Oz and bet them anyway you like for $10 a race [pretend money]. Lot of fun.
