Hi,
Some years back I operated a system betting the top favourites on the day for a place. It worked quite well for a while, although a lot of them were coming in at $1-10, $1-20. Thinking back, I remember most of the time they didn't even win and unfortunately on occasions didn't even get a place. I was only betting on probably a max of 5 per Saturday. Has anybody got any data on these types of races and how the second favourites performed? Just wondering if that could be a better selection or an additional selection for this system. |
Robby,
Start looking at the 3rd and 4th fav for your place selection you might get a shock. Cheers |
Shock?
Hopefully not with my bank? I might start running the plan again and have a closer look at it. You wouldn't know of a site where I could look into past results where it would be easy to spot this? EG. The top 5 favourites of the day and in the results it would show you the position on the TAB of 1st, 2nd, & 3rd. I never like wading through all the info at some of the sites, but I suppose if it has to be done that will be the cheaper option on the day. |
Robbie,
Best site for quick checking http://www.tabonline.com.au click on racing then on results, gives you about three years. Cheers [ This Message was edited by: kenchar on 2004-02-06 10:21 ] |
