Is there much interest in this game over there or is it like last weeks beer..dead, because it's being played in me ole stompin' ground, Subi' oval, WA.

Far-Canal.

sportznut 30th July 2004 02:57 PM

Doesn't seem to be a lot of interest. I don't know why they're playing it over there. Australia has a pretty ********** record in Perth. There'll probably be so many S.Af fans there it will almost feel like a home game for the Springboks.

rabbitz 30th July 2004 03:10 PM

Its good to see it being played over there
What else do they get there.usually one test at the WACA in summer, two AFL teams, hardly any NRL since Perth reds left the comp.
Thats about it really.SQUIRTER,all I've heard are Australia are supposed to win and cover the -5.5 start as well,I cant watch the game frankly
Cheers

Hey Sportz,

I believe there are 20,000 of the ......in Perth alone....and christ mate we got more over here....watch out for the eye-gouger to-morrow night .

I believe the Union are looking at Perth for another SUPER team and are looking at the interest generated, be a ************ good thing as there are mutitudes of Kiwis there as well....

cheers.

Rabbitz,

We shall have to education you ole mate, ever played it !!

rabbitz 30th July 2004 03:29 PM

They kick too much, they dont pass, and they try to run thru ten big boofy blokes when the outside players are having a sleep out wide.
They do it in rugby league too ,idiots
Cheers
P.S. 2 games back in the late 70's

Mr J 30th July 2004 04:30 PM

Rabbitz you obviously don't watch union. They don't kick much more than in league (except from inside their own 22), and the wings these days are very involved in the game.

Mr J 30th July 2004 04:37 PM

Should be a great game though. IMO all 3 teams are very close, and the All Blacks are very lucky to be up 2-0. SA and Aus have been amazing in defence, so it might be a lower scoring game with more shots on goal. Wouldn't be surprised to see some great line breaks though.

This should easily be the better game so far.

Squirter 30th July 2004 06:00 PM

Mr J,

I don't know who's ref'ing, but if he keeps the Boks on side then you will win....if not then you will have all kinds of problems....had you watched last weeks game then you would understand what I'm saying. Aussie are playing both Smith and Waugh as the loosies, their opposites are huge, fast and ugly, so in lineout play where Aussie has over the last few years has tended to dominate may find their dominance reversed, if this happens then your gone. We all know that the game is
normally won up front. Don't sell the Yarpies short as they are on their way back to where they were for 60 years.

Cheers

South Africa havn't had a good 2nd half yet this season. My tip is Australia 2nd half handicap (I think -3.5 @ $1.90)
