Japan Cup
 

Firstly, when is this race run? Have any Australian horses been invited? How do you watch the race from Australia (is it the middle of the night or anything?) It's dirt track, too, isn't it?

I think you may be getting confused with the Dubai Cup. It's the one on a Dirt track at night time. It's in late March I think.

The Japan Cup was actually on about a month ago. It used to be an important race for Australians in the days of Better loosen Up etc, but now they don't seem to send Australian horses over for it. I don't even have any idea what won it this year. Probably a Japanese horse that we've never heard of over here.

Zeno Rob Roy won it this year was the hot favourite and won it very easily and yes he is a japanese horse.

I've never really known about the Dubai. I was watching the Japan Cup when Better Loosen Up won. Didn't we get 3rd too? And that would have been just about the last time I heard of it. Isn't it a dirt track?

About the Dubai, though, are they all thoroughbreds? Isn't there some Sheikh race in the desert with all horses allowed? What is that one?
