Quick question

For example:

Geelong is +7.5 handicap

Im pretty sure that means Geelong can win or lose by 7.
If Geelong win by 8 or more what's the outcome? I lose?

If Geelong win or get beat by less than 8 points you win if you have backed Geelong @ +7.5 handicap

If Geelong lose by 7 pts or less you win
If Geelong win by any margin you win
If Geelong are beaten by over 7 pts you lose
