Yank Pick 4 Pool For Today Is $4,100

The pool will likely double today. The Pick 4 will be the 1st 4 races at Sunshine Coast this time. I need the winners of each of these races. HAHA.

Regards,

Glenn

Hopefully some of our more learned colleagues will help you out Glenn, SC (Sunday) not one of my happy hunting grounds :(

Hmmm, that doesn't seem like a huge amount of money for something like that and you've got some hard races to pick. I find Sunshine Coast on a Sunday notoriously tough to pick and 3 out of those 4 are maidens. AND on a wet track. I'll have a bit of a look for you, but I can't promise anything because those races look tough.

There you go Glenn, a possible start ;) hopefully Sportz will come back with the goods.

i like:

Race 1: 1,7,8

Race 2: 4,1,13

Race 3: 1,2,3

Race 4: 2,4,5,9

i'm sure sportz will put in some good ones, maybe you can put the two together!!

TheAvenger 17th April 2005 10:29 AM

Thanks. Yes, it's a tough task, and the North American pool is small. However, it is likely that only one punter might score it all, unless it's too easy.

Glenn

A point you might want to consider. Conditions & rail positions could lead to the same thing happening as last Sunday. At that meeting, almost all of the races were won by horses with wide barriers and barrier 1 horses never even managed a placing all day.

Okay, for what it's worth, here are some thoughts:

R1: 1-3-8-15
A tough race. Trainer Bruce McLaughlan has 4 good chances (1, 3, 7 & 8) Of these, I favour 1 & 3 slightly. Another rough chance is the 15 with Byrne riding.

R2: 1-4-5-15
Another tough race. I think number 1 is the best horse in this race though and it would be my pick. Away from him, any number of chances, 4, 5, 10, 12, 13 & 15.

R3: 1-3
A toss up between number 1 & number 3 here I think.

R4: 8-2-4-5
My top pick here would be number 8 just ahead of number 2. Many other chances though - 1, 4, 5, 9, 14 & 17

As you can see, I'm not confident. Perhaps you should check out xptdriver's ratings for today. Look under 'Caloundra'.

Thanks, Sportz, Chuck. I will look at XPTs picks too.

I doubt that.

Old habits die hard I'm afraid... I still sometimes refer to Yarra Valley as Yarra Glen... ah well

As for those races at Caloundra (SS Coast) I dont think there are 4 harder races one after the other today anywhere ... Heavy Track, maidens, geez its a big ask... my advice look pretty wide, maybe disreagrd the favs? it is a tough tough assignment... because i would think that there is bound to be an upset in at least one of those races
