New Accountancy Method?

:) Hi I am a new forum participant. I have a system query about an old system called "The New Accountancy Method" published by A W Davies about late 1950's. Does anyone know anything about this system? Would be interested to hear if possible. There is also a system called "The Old Accountancy Method" by same person.
Rules are; Hcps only, first two horses from No 1 if placed 2nd or 3rd in one of last two starts. and only if 3rd horse down field is carrying less weight than top 2. If not 2 qualifiers then miss race. Staking; 1 point on each first two system horses, 3 points on next two, then 5 points on next two. Then 8 points on next two. Then commence going backwards on the staking method. Working up and down until winner then commence afresh.

Hi Eddy , welcome.
Can you give an example of the working backwards staking.

Cheers.

Bhagwan, I would assume after the fourth losing race in a row the next bet would be five then 3 then 1 then 3 then 5 then 8 and then back again

Thanks for that Dr Ron ,
I thought it might be something like that.

This staking plan worked surprisingly well today ,thur 23rd June, chasing the 2nd & 3rd radioTAB selections.

New Accountancy Method

yes this is correct, 1, 3, 5, 8, then 5, 3, 1, 3, 5, 8 etc. No knowledge of "New Accountancy Method"?

To me this has no logic to it.
Like all good plans and this is a good plan....... you still gota pick em.
It looks like this plan would work great on Fav's...... although i think the 9/4 plan is better.

I can understand the logic in the progression part of the plan but why then go backwards? I would tend to keep at 8 until in profit. With my luck the next winner would be struck at 1 unit
