G'day all,

Here's my tips for Doomben today:

R1 - Wolfman 3rd up should control the race up front and win easily, was left a sitting shot last start behind Diamondsondinside but fought on well to finish 2nd, Won 3rd up last prep over 1600m. Not sure about the rest Grand Lover will get back and run on, Nick 'N' John might take sit behind Wolfman and be a chance.

R2 - Inclined to agree with Mav RE Willy Leica, prefer him over this sort of distance and against this sort of field should be way to strong, Mantle only won a class 3 last start but looks the best of the rest, Pride Of Paris might lead and give a good sight while Sandy River is the query.

R3 - Babinda Half has been racing very consistently and doesnt look to be to much pace in this race and should lead all take a sit behind Legcapa. Always had a good opinion of Lang Park but hasn't justified that yet, from gate 3 should get a good run in behind the leading pack and run on strongly fresh, Maxy Legs win first up was very good 2nd up form a bit scratchy but has a chance on last win.

R4 - Very hard race i thought, decided on Know A Lady, got to far back behind Emgee Rex and with the dawdling pace up front did very well to get home for 3rd with 57kg and nice run behind Seven Crownies start before. Obviously Clang Edition will be hard to beat this is his hardest test to date though, think Hanalei Bay is the class horse of the race and looks primed for this just worried about the weight over 2200m for him.

R5 - Thought Tornado Alley was a good thing in this, will ping to the lead and be very hard to run down, terrific run last start with 59.5kg after setting a fast pace, back to 1110m, barrier 3, 55kg, looks a good thing to me, only worry is his Doomben record. Not sure where Coincidental will be in the run from the outside but is definitely the danger, Panzer might take the sit behind
Tornado Alley from gate 1 and be a chance of running him down.

R6 - Fashions Afield is obviously the class horse and should win, but like Svenlad i will be having a go at La Montagna and Street Smart in this, 1350m looks ideal for both and with the edge of race fitness over Fashions Afield might be able to run over the top of her.

R7 - Gone for a roughie in this, Master Archie Good run behind Riegart first start at Toowoomba got back ran wide and finished well, last start had a nice run but race was suited for the backmarkers such as Way Off which won the race, Mel led that race and just got run down, but because of the gates i prefer Master Archie over Mel at the odds, Cole Trickle got back to last and ran on well, should be closer this time and should run a good race, plenty of other chances however.

R8 - A match race between the top 2 i think, settled on A Little Naughty but only because of recent racing, won well beating Tornado Alley who i have as a good thing in race 5, Son Of Dane won first up at Doomben over 1200m with 57kg, this looks a similar race to this, looks a good quinella, forget Persuades last 2 and he has a great chance to upset the top 2, maybe Teletrader, back from a let up and back down to 1200m should sprint well but harder opposition this time.

Best - Wolfman, Willy, Tornado Alley.

At odds - Street Smart, La Montagna, Master Archie.

Cheers and good luck.
