Default Eagle Farm Races Saturday....

Hey all,

Back for another week, this time at Eagle Farm. Looks a pretty decent day for betting, hopefully the rain stays away until tomorrow night (then it can pour ). I like the chances of a couple so lets just hope we get some luck...

Race 1 - I think Bold Reason is the way to go here. Was a dominant win last time at Doomben and the extra 200m and Eagle Farm pose no danger whatsoever (has won over this track/distance before). I really like the way this horse is progressing. Emit Time has been thereabouts in these sort of races recently and will put in a big show again tomorrow. He will get the speed on too, which suits his pattern of racing. Coccolare ran home well although was well beaten by Bold Reason last time out, but the Eagle Farm straight and the 1200m look good.

Race 2 - Don't like this one to be brutally honest. Pure Energy, Winaura and In Bar Go. That's all i got . Monmagic bears watching, with Reigart form...

Race 3 - A few promising types going around here, but i like Saint's Glory. Should press forward from the gate and can really fly around these 1000m courses. Will hopefully get some sort of a price, with a lot of chances in the field. Best Northern does find it tough to win, but has been thereabouts lately, and who knows, maybe Eagle Farm is his preferred course. Good chance. Stepping generally needs longer than this, but plenty of speed could see her run home into a placing at eachway odds.

Race 4 - *Groan*. Pretty awful race really. Sky Mountain and Lady of Courage have to be close to a win in town, having run respectable races their last couple. With reasonable alleys, i think they are fair chances. Tele Series has won over this distance (and course) in much better company than this, but that was a year of two back and might be past his best. Who knows, though .

Race 5 - I've got it down to Adavale Hornet and Milady Clang. Both are in tremendous form and have figures that are superior to their opponents here. I've settled on Adavale Hornet, mainly because of the alley and the allowance - Milady Clang is an unknown quantity for mine on the back-up. That being said, she has proven me wrong in the last couple of weeks, i thought she was just a battler, but she has run some fantastic races and can easily measure up again tomorrow. Enthusiast can improve tomorrow, but will have to show a return to something like his old form before i get sucked in again.

Race 6 - Great race. If only All Bar One had accepted here, it would've been better! To my eye, any of them could win without really surprising, but i've settled on Tornado Alley. Can't see too much speed in the race (hoping like hell that Mitanni doesn't harass Tornado Alley in the lead). He has run some great races around this circuit at this distance and i think he can go close. That being said, if they go nuts out in front, Black Ink is the one. He is a top class sprinter this bloke and can pull off unbelievable sectionals. Top chance. Daimyo is the up and coming sprinter in Brisbane and can figure if given the right run (and if there is speed on). His win at the Coast was big, although he did get all the favours.

Race 7 - Well who's going to beat That's Better tomorrow. Starlactic has done it twice, Babinda Half once and Royal Hero once. Gotta be the most unfortunate last 4 runs a horse can have. I think Kreisler's Jewel might be able to knock him off tomorrow. Good horse on his day this bloke, can sprint home fast if they go hard early. With the good alley, and the likely speed in the big field, i'm giving him a chance. That's Better is a quality horse, but just hasn't found the right race this campaign - his time will come though . Warrior Trader will be on pace and can stick on well when he wants to - finds it tough to win sometimes, though.

Race 8 - Like Audubon. Not a great standard race, so i think this is a good race for this bloke. Has been touted by some as being somewhat of a 'gunna', but i think this is weak enough for him to get away with it. The alley and J.Taylor only serve to strengthen my confidence. Blue Oyster has talent and can figure while fresh. The alley is slightly awkward though. Aim So High has shown a lot of promise before, but he hasn't been able to win all that much - a place chance for sure, but i find it hard to pick him to win.

Good day, overall. My best would be Bold Reason, Saints Glory and Audubon with a nice place chance to Tele Series

Good luck all

Sven
