The word around the traps locally past couple of weeks is that Black Tom and Master Minx never fully recovered from their Perth Cup campaigns during their shortish spells and have been racing below their best. Hope proven wrong but if any truth you'd think they would be risks today.

Thanks for the post woody. Read it earlier today and excluded both Black Tom and Master Minx from my main batch of selections (they were already borderline based on their ordinary form of late). End result - managed the trifecta built around Tubular Bells running 1st or 2nd. Exalted Time who was another borderline selection (recent SA form good but more importantly stuck with the lovely Clare Lindop) made it into the main batch as a result of excluding BT and MM.
