Purcer's comments on Friday. A good laugh and not far wrong !!
"The Brisbane racing scene tomorrow features the Group 2 Sir Byrne Hart Stakes – and the meeting apart from that one race - is certainly thin as a boarding house scrape of butter on class runners.
There are big numbers in some of the races, but it is a hard – nigh on impossible - day on the punt. The only good thing in the program at Eagle Farm should be Weirdo in Race 1, but it will be shorter than an Army cadet’s hair cut. Hopefully they’ll take it back mid-field or worse and barring shin soreness it will run straight over the top of some ordinary conveyances.
Races 2, 3, 7 and 8 are as open as the Sydney Heads. Pick two of the winners of those 4 races – in one pick – and you are a genius. There should be some big trifecta dividends in some of those races tomorrow in Brisbane, so anyone betting in exotics needs to bet wide".
