Yeah Mav, sport is one of the great examples of where saving is a great idea. I do it regularly with success. Backing a team or player to win and then if and when they make the final, backing the opposition. And this racing scenario was pretty much the same. Real Deal backed a certain number of selections to win, and then when he reached the final race still alive, he backed the opposition to make sure that he got something out of it. I think it was the sensible thing to do.
By the way, Real Deal, where did the best of your original quaddie selections finish? 2nd? If that was the case, and you hadn't done as you did, I can imagine how you would have felt.
