Is anybody here on this forum who is using handicapping as a selection method rather than statistics only?
I am very much interested in exchanging ideas since I have returned to handicapping after a very lengthy absence. Many years ago, using a calcualtor, pen and paper I developed a very good system picking winners (including long-shots) quite regularly. The only problem then that I had was that I didn't have a method of "anchoring" each race to a fixed point and my data gradually get corrupted by the propagation of error.
I have started a similar method now, using excel spreadsheet, which is already showing good results after some two months of trials (e.g. my top selection for Sydney Race 8 today was Flash Phantom).
This time I have come up with a method of "anchoring" each race to an absolute point and hope that it will prevent the error propagation that I experienced in the past.
If anyone would like to exchange ideas on this forum please do so or if you prefer privately contact me on potkonyak@ar.com.au
thanks,
capellia
