I won't go through all the races but just mention a couple of angles.

Stadbroke:
Forget St Basil from barrier 1. Had the outside easy to hand last year [last time he won a race] and as a backmarker made good use of it. This year even the trainer KNOWS from barrier 1 St Basil is going to have a wall of horses in front of him and he will be stuck on the inside of them near the rear and lets face it, the horse is almost 9yrs. old. and would be re-writing the history books to win this. I've got more chance of winning 1st. devision tatslotto Sat. night. 10/1 is freely available already for this false fav.

Red Oog and Shania Dane* finally get the barriers to suit and with a bit of Beadman magic I'll be on Sharia Dane because at the distance Red Oog is a failure 5 times and horses are creatures of habit. La Sizaranne from 13 will need luck, but it might come from Williams.

All said though, we are looking at rain effecting the show and by race 7 for sure, anything could happen. Media [huge weight drop], La Montagna, Miss Potential and Daunting lad are all good prospects. Black Ink will come last [bar-plates] and Cog Hill with blinkers if he doesn't over-race might get a run to have a crack at them. Don't dismiss Consular for a place a big odds and a bit of luck from the draw and Yell is always good for a place chance [hasn't won one for more than a year and a half]. I think I've covered the tri. but probably haven't :-)

R2. Bitabiff* ran too far last start at 1350m won by Masai pride. The 1200m here will suit and can handle all condt. The odds and distance make this horse an attractive bet.

R5
With brilliant young Rick Mc Machan on board Starlactic* [can handle any going] and plenty of speed on from 3 leaders, it will probably be all over red rover and is my bet even at short odds. A little Naughty [can handle the wet fine] will be value. 3rd run in. Drew wide first up and second up just missed out to Becks. A lot fitter this time but I think the fav. will win this. Pick the place getters for the tri. or go short on an exacta.

R6
When Ice Chariot* ran 2nd before his last start win, only Belmonte beat him. Don't underestimate Ice Chariots ability at this distance. The big step up last week put many punters off [not me]. I read that Ice Chariot's deceased sire Semipalatinsk sired steeplechasers like Tennesee Blue that could win at 4800 meters and Perth Cup [3200m] winner Palatious. From winning double jackpots in outside alleys [last start too] we will again see Lynch putting this backmarker to sleep until the home turn and running over the top of them from the outside of the straight. If the track gets to dead or slow I'll be having a look at a couple of the NZ horses in this for multiples, especially Sculptor.

Have great day.
