Default My thoughts

Races 1 & 2: Awful - leave alone

Race 3: 5. Accardo looks the big improver. Won its 1st 2 starts, then a solid 2nd to the consistent Sarajay over 1400m and spelled. Hit the line when a close 2nd to Dulacca Diva on chopped up track at 1st Aust run. Will be fitter and looks the top chance. 1. Grecolo is consistent. Solid Guineas run last start after LR win over this course. Back in distance and up in weight no help, but wet track ok. 2.Anca is talented - she was on the fence in the Dulacca Diva race and didn't get into the finish when fav. 6. Feelin Dandy is 3 from 3 on wet and was solidly backed when 4th behind Dulacca Diva.

Race 4: Lightly raced horses with little wet track exposure. Cautious play on 2.Ima Joker (ran decent time winning at Ipswich last start; wet track ?) and 8.Angel Girl (form around Gold Edition and Pure Energy last prep, but by Rory's Jester ?wet).

Race 5: Natural Destiny has won 6 from 8 in NSW. Resumed with a 4 length C6 win on dead. No slow form. This race harder, but very promising horse on the minimum. Starlactic has won 10 of 17 & gets back to 1200m today. Slow track ok. One of these two should win.

Race 6: Gee I Jane is the class here. Came from last in the Stradbroke, wide throughout and kept coming for 2nd. Won BTC Cup Group 1 before that. 1st try at 1500 and tough with 57kg, but she'll give this a shake. 9.Focal Point is a Gr2 winner in NZ, 2nd up today. Loves the wet and, though suited over further, her 2nd up record is terrific.

Race 7: 3.Ring of Fire could give these and absolute towelling. Has won 4 from 7 including last start win over 1600m on heavy. Won the NZ St Leger over 2500m before spell. Looks the one - well suited 3rd up at 2200m and should win if travelled ok and settled in. 2.Empyreal is the other Kiwi wet tracker. Knocked up in Br Cup last start, but consistent in this type of race and will love the going. Knockout chance to 13.Zauberai who also loves the wet and showed promise last prep. Good fast finishing first up run when 4th to Masai Pride the fitness gave out last start. Fitter today.

Race 8: Daunting Lad is the one here. Wide throughout in the 10,000 and copped a bad check at the 800m in the Straddie. Much better suited in this weaker event, ready for the mile and can handle the conditions. Smart and Mighty rises only 0.5kg for a win at this course & dist last start. Likes the wet and will run well. One of these two should win.

Cheers
