went to canterbury once. caught the train to the track the gates were 2 k's from the train so tramped to the entrance only to be passed by the courtesy bus half way round.
had a good day. liked the track. it was canterbury guineas day.unfortunately canterbury is downgraded these days to encourage better races to the major tracks. a group from down here in southern tasmania are taking caravans/trailers to the birdsville races this year. (non punters) but shows the interest that this event draws from all over.
good to know there are real people out there amongst the punting crowd.
i have a wife a postoffice and two girls with 7 grandchildren and they have become my favorite people for some reason.
