By itself it doesn't really mean jack. To me it just means both have won a $40k race and what other prize money [not class] have they competed for and how did they perform?

A recent r1mwly $40,000 winner might be a big improver on the up and could be winning a listed race in a few more starts and the r3mwly $40,000 winner is having it's 20th go at winning a 4th metro and is full of all sorts of form 'convictions' and not far off a ride to the clag factory.
