All the very best with your horse mate, nothing better than a win with your own horse 
Is the horse fit, does the trainer see it as a better horse over more distance.
Did it get swamped because the match race turned into a sprint.
There are too many unknowns to say just give it shorter distance.
Sometimes horses get swamped because they need more distance, they need a slower first pace to produce their best late. He could still be a leader but need a slower pace. |
