Yes, I agree that the basic principles established by Clif Carey and Rem Plante still hold true today. Sure, there are are other variables today which weren't relevant or even devised in Clif's day but the fundamental principles he taught us are still valid.
It seems that "head-to-head" comparisons between horses is all the go now but this is still not too unlike Cliff's methods.
