I had a good day thank you--has nothing to do with political correctness. The owners would be a lot more shattered than you re the incident--love for their horse has nothing to do with their wealth, and I'm sure they love him a lot more than any punters, who will just move onto the next race.
A racehorse at 550kg travels at 60kph and at 1 point the whole weight and force is supported by a peice of bone the size of a 10 cent coin, and its supporting ligaments--the wonder is that more horses don't brake down. CIS was relatively lightly raced and to suggest that connections were anything but greedy. Guy Walter is a great trainer who would never race a horse if there was a major problem with him.
What happened to CIS was terrible (fortunately he will survive), but don't get into the crap of blaming the owner's greed--it was simply one of those awful things that happen in racing, and the owners, who obviously cared greatly for him, should not be slandered in such a manner.
