I was on El Segundo and was confident that he had it all the way from about 800 metres out.
I still don't think I'll consider 9 y-o s when I'm looking at potential winners this really is a one-off freak.

I agree with you, this was a one off and I don't run around looking for old horses to back, the old winners are few and far between really. I just liked him from his record in this race, given there was nothing else proven at the Valley in this class. |
