Speed ratings (combined with an understanding of race pace) is still the most unexploited opportunity to profit in the Australian racing game.

To do it well though, you need to make an investment in the technology to set up and maintain the data on an automated basis. You also need to have a sound methodology for your ratings and commonsense on how to use the numbers.
