At the four metro tracks, the favourites won 14 of the 32 races, including the last five races at both Sandown and Morphettville, compared to only 8 winning favourites the previous Saturday. And the favourites also placed in 24 of the 32 races, compared to 18 the previous Saturday.

I had 31 selections on Saturday, and thanks to all those favourites getting up, I only had 2 winners, with Blackwoods Choice my saviour for the day. Normally, I have as many winners as I do that came in 2nd and 3rd. Yesterday, while I had just the 2 winners, I had 9 selections that ran 2nd and another 9 that ran 3rd. Talk about frustrating.
