Let me throw this into your mix. Laying the "11.00 or less" selections in my current "Pixie's Pix" thread on a Saturday or national Public Holiday is showing, and will probably continue to show a profit. Use the EXACT same method of preparing the selections on any other day of the week and you'll lay your way to the poorhouse. In other words whats a decent lay selection on a Saturday, is a decent back selection on any other day. I've only done limited testing on this but what I'm getting at is that the locale of the track may be of less importance than the quality of the information in the market.
