Peter McKenzie nominated Sculptor for the Ipswich Cup as an afterthought after Sculptor had bungled the start before finishing 14th in the Brisbane Cup. Initially barred by stewards after that incident but was cleared to run in the Ipswich Cup after passing a barrier trial test at Deagon on Tuesday. McKenzie will now aim Sculptor for the $200,000 Listed Caloundra Cup on June 30.
