Race 1: I like the Alan Bailey trained Lombardy. This horse likes the track and third up looks good. Has had a combined 9 first and second up starts for one third. Of his other career starts he's 10: 7-1-1. The 1200 not favourable but i think he can overcome this. Colless on his back is a huge plus has been in good form lately. Instructed looks set to challenge third up as well for John Morrisey.

Race 2: Hard to go past the inform Hy Dream and Corey Brown on his first ride of the day. Was impressive over Frisco's Vision some 12 days ago and the step up to the 1600 doesnt look like it will bother him. 1 horse id like to see perform well is Monaseeci. Just a battling horse but Joe Bowditch has been instrumental of late and looks like this could be another rough chance he'll get home tomorrow. Place chance to Phoenix Express. I'll stick with Hy Dream

Race 3: Tough race this one with the top fancies all coming up against each other again. Easy Rocker might find the larger field against him here. Although from the 3 barrier and with a possible Nolen gem of a ride you cant leave him out. Stolit looks nicely placed from the 8 barrier and with Pengelly on board my money will be on him. Again can't leave out the Heinrich mount Main Vein and i give a chance, albeit a rough one, to Mono Mac. Stick with Stolit although monitor track bias from first two races.

Race 4: Cant argue with the down south form of Isurava. Has been impressive and i think it will be a big day for Colless. I dont know whether the punters will be on with any confidence but ill jump on the wagon if they have a go at it on course. Couldn't say much else about Tripitz last run except that thank god it didnt get an extra bound cause i unloaded on Apercu. I give a good chance to Steven King's mount Lady Showheart in this. Typical two year old race a lot in it and maybe one to stay away from.

Race 5: This race is like tossing a 20 sided dice. You could get a different result every time. All these horses have claims on their best form. I've always been a fan of October Grey but he just seems like a non winner. I'd give a good chance to the second emergency Aim So High if it gets a draw and it would be my e/w pick for the race. Nessuno is another that hasn't been overly impressive but has been there abouts. Foxmore first up could poke its head thru too. If it gets a run Aim So High if not Nessuno.

Race 6:I'll have no hesitation getting on Gold Edition. From the 4 barrier she'll take her normal position and Powell showed he could ride her in the Guineas. 1600 and the two day back may just have been too much for her. She'll hit back here. The Gai Waterhouse pair will be the dangers for sure and i think that trifecta looks good in what is a day where u get a trifecta u get blessed.

Race 7: Ice Chariot looks the one to beat. Has been improving out of site lately and i will be getting on him. doesnt lose anything with Katsidis on his back. Mirkola Lass definitely has to be watched and althoguh he mixes his form he's drawn well and not too badly served at the weights. Skyleda although completely up in class might give a good sight and diamondsondinside will be coming home late.

Race 8: Obviously the only question with Roman Squire is the rise in class but the way he handled his opposition last start it doesn't look like he'll have too much trouble. Atapi looked great last start and although the 17 barrier isnt in his favour he's running with great heart. I wont leave Bianca out eith Id love to see a jock like purton or Nolen on this but we'll see if they choose this race who they decide to put on.
