Sat. 11th. August-Post Mortem

Eagle farm Race 1.

Our only (equal) top pick, Yass River, which won on the day, & it was @ odds on, whereas we rated it a $2.40 chance.No quinella or Trifecta joy either as the second horse rated 7th.

Randwick Race 2

Our top pick Ausbred King only managed 3rd. but paid evens the place ($2) so was good each way value as we rated it a 6/4 chance.

Morphetville Race 2

The winner rated rock bottom by us so no joy again. 2 of our tips filled the placings.

Morphetville Race 3

Our 3rd pick Londo won @ $4.20 and top pick ran 2nd. Quinella paid a skinny $7.50. As a matter of interest my top rated 4 filled the "First Four" placings paying $368.00

Moonee Valley race 4

Our best 3 (nrs. 1,6,3) ran 3rd, 4th. & 2nd respectively, with the winner (2) rated 5th. Quinella a more respectable $12.80, and the "First Four" paying $325.70.

Moonee Valley Race 5

Our top pick (3) ran 3rd and we found the quinella, only $8.70 but something anyway, and believe it or not the "First Four" were rated by us in 2-5-1 & 3rd. positions, in other words in the top 5, & paid $187.50.

Eagle Farm Race 6

Didn't have the winner in our post but it was rated 5th., and 2nd, 3rd, & 4th places were filled by our 1st, 3rd, & 4th selections respectively, in other words, another "First Four" in our 5 top rated horses. This time it paid $594.00.

Eagle Farm Race 8

Found the quinella which paid $25. No "First Four" this time though, our top pick ran out of a place.

Moonee Valley Race 8.

A complete wash out this one, not finding a placed horse in our top 5. Mares races can be like that.

I have just checked "The Australian" form guide for last Sat. and I see they ( the pro tipsters ) did no better than me, finding only one winner in the races that we tried.

When I refer to rated & ratings, they are what I send to a few mates and to another forum, but I have decided to post them on this site starting next Saturday. More later.........
