TUMERIC – Perth Cup winner, now trained by Lee Freedman. Seems nicely in at the weights. Currently 40/1 NSWTAB fixed odds.


MR AMERICAN GOTHIC - This former Irish stayer has now had two runs since arriving in Australia. He beat home last year's Melbourne Cup winner Media Puzzle in a race at The Curragh in Ireland in September last year. Never won over anything shorter than 2414m, so suited at the distance. Reported to have had a trouble-free preparation and might surprise. Currently 33/1 NSWTAB fixed odds.

And also would include BODIE (NZ) - 2002 G3 Rotorua Cup (2300m) winner & 2003 Auckland Cup (3200m) winner. Currently 25/1 NSWTAB fixed odds.
