Tragic, a couple come to mind. I mentioned in another post about Kayf Tara in the Melbourne Cup who was scratched on the morning of the race. I won't go over it again, but I'm still hurting from that one. Astute judges still recon it would have won by 7 lengths! Duped me 10 big ones!

What about when I was 18, and down to my last $10 at Wentworth Park greys... My favourite dog at the time was "Our Waverly Doll", and it was a piece! I whacked the doe on, and went down to the boxes to see it jump... It was across the line this dog. So they started to load, and my dog was in box 8... And I swear, as the "Big Fella" is my judge, they put the dog in backwards! Backwards!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, they jumped, and the dishlicker could here the rabbit, so it decided to back out of the gate after 50 metres had been underway, and still nearly caught the last dog on the post!

Then there was Travel Rev... He was something. I remember one race he broke his front leg on the second turn, and still came second! He was some dog that.... Cheers
