Well, Michael Clarke and Brad Haddin saved Australia with a 144-run, 5th wicket partnership, after finding themselves at 90-4 in the 17th over. And then in turn, the rain saved India from having to chase down a 308 run target. Result: Draw. Ponting was still out with his hamstring injury, but he was there with his team, so he can't be too far away from returning. Hodge got a duck (lbw) and Symonds only got 7 before being ajudged lbw, though there was a suggestion he got an inside edge. Gilchrist managed only 12 before Yuvraj Singh made a great diving catch at point. Hopes did well with 37 runs from 25 balls. Clarke's 130 from 132 and Haddin's 69 from 83 were the stabilizers Australia needed though. Hopefully, Clarke will continue his good form in India. Sreesanth was the pick of the Indian bowlers. Even though he was a little eratic at times, producing 6 wides and a no ball, he did have great variation in both pace and delivery. In the end he picked up 3 for 55. He actually had Clarke out caught at deep point, but it was off a no ball (full toss above the waist).

Game 2 will be Tuesday in New Delhi where at least the weather is supposed to be fine and sunny.
