Moonee Valley (used to live over the road)
Mornington
Hanging Rock (private meeting, no barriers and handicapped by staggered start. Girlfriend at the time rode a pony against the thoroughbreds. Battered the eyelids and managed to get about a 100 metre start over the rest of the field. From memory the race was over about 800m, and she still had a 30m lead turning into the straight. They must have thought she was going to stop cos nothing came after her till about 100m from the post when this big grey jumper came at her down the outside, but she hung on to win by about a head. Real "Racing Stripes" type stuff. Best part was the 200/1 I got from the bookie. )
