Hi,

This is a new idea that runs along the lines of Football tipping comps, only we're using horses of course.

For the next few weeks (until the end of the Sydney carnival), I'll post a series of match races, where you have to pick the best 'team' of horses. The team which contains the highest placed horse will be the winner. It might sound confusing, but it's not really. I'll post this week's races and I'm sure you'll soon get the idea.

MATCH 8 - AJAX STAKES (ROSE R9)

Now what you have to do is pick the team which will have the highest placed horse out of all those listed. Now, obviously, if one of your horses wins the race, then you win, simple as that. But your horses don't necessarily need to win the race. All they have to do is finish ahead of all the horses in the other team, and you win.

So, simply post your selections like this:

1. HOME
2. AWAY
3. HOME
4. HOME
5. HOME
6. AWAY
7. HOME
8. AWAY

You'll be given a point for each correct selection and if you manage to get all 8 right for a "perfect round", then that's a bonus 4 points.

If there are any scratchings amongst the teams, then that is just bad luck and you'll have to depend on what horses you have left. If ALL of the horses in one team are scratched however, then that match race is abandoned.

Selections must be in by midnight, Friday night.
