Two things springs to mind. ONE, double the amount you would bet on this race (horse). TWO, take the previous race selection and have a running double with this race's selection.

….selection marked double refers to next best with the actual recommended double being that selection with the best bet or vice versa [depending which races first]
...this could be a sequential double...eg. race 5 into race 6 or an all-up eg. race 1 into race 6....[i.e. half a quaddie sort of ]
