Good question...
LCM
Fairbot makes a secure HTTP (TCP 443) call to 65.254.57.234 at startup. This traces through to an unresolvable address. The connection closes before login so I suspect it's a license/version checking function.
After login there's a quick call on TCP port 80 to the address 84.20.192.132, which is dropped pretty quickly, and two TCP 443 connections are made to address 84.20.192.244, and one to address 210.4.86.17. These I think are Betfair addresses as starting the standard Betfair GUI in a browser opens similar connections.
There was a cracked version of Fairbot doing the rounds of the free download sites which left all kinds of rubbish behind. Stay away from anything like this. I've not had any problems with the registered version. I put a fair few transactions through it everyday.
