The Cox Plate was run and won on Saturday, with Carol's selection, Fields Of Omagh winning @ 16/1, and Martin's selection Zagalia rattling home into 4th place @ 30/1 from last on the home turn, making it next to a good thing for the Melbourne Cup in 11 days time.

Martin & Carol also selected the first 2 in the 7th @ Sydney (Portfolios 1st @ 15/1 & France Soir 2nd @ 6/1) The quinella paid @ 40/1, and the exacta paid @ 111/1.
