Thought you might be interested in how I have used your ratings since you started rating only several races each Saturday (from 7th June 2008).

I only take note of your top rated horse's price. Any race with equal top rated horses is eliminated. I then eliminate all horses rated > $3.20. I have also ignored the WA rated races as there have only been 3 and I do not bet on WA races.

Results from the races left after these few eliminations are :-

107 bets for 43 winners (40.2% S/R) and 69 places (64.5% S/R)

Betting $10 win on each selection (Using Sportsbet Citybest+ dividends) your bank would stand at $408.50 (POT % = 38.2%)

Interestingly, if we break the bets up into the States we find the following:-

Adelaide 29 bets 14 wins (48.3% S/R) Bank = $181.00 (POT % = 62.4%)
Brisbane 29 bets 12 wins (41.4% S/R) Bank = $149.00 (POT % = 51.4%)
Melbourne 25 bets 11 wins (44.0% S/R) Bank = $90.50 (POT % = 36.2%)
Sydney 24 bets 6 wins (25.0% S/R) Bank = -$12.00 (LOT % = -5.0%)

Looking at Place results

Adelaide 29 bets 20 places (69.0% S/R) Bank = $29.00 (POT % = 10.0%)
Brisbane 29 bets 22 places (75.9% S/R) Bank = $96.00 (POT % = 33.1%)
Melbourne 25 bets 16 places (64.0% S/R) Bank = -$1.00 (LOT % = -0.4%)
Sydney 24 bets 11 places (45.8% S/R) Bank = -$62.00 (LOT % = -25.8%)


Obviously it is too early to make any rash decisions but if we ignored all Sydney races then we would have :-

83 bets 37 wins (44.5% S/R) Win Bank $420.50 (POT % = 50.6%)
83 bets 58 places (69.8% S/R) Place bank $124.00 (POT % = 14.9%)

You would agree these are more than acceptable returns.
