Default Sat Selections

Mooney Valley
Race 2 # 11 Woppitt - Last start quickly away and led them around the corner Caulfield 1100m 16/08/08, run ended last 100m beaten 1.75L but will strip fitter for the run.
Has speed to counter the bad draw(11) and drops from 55kg to 53kg will give you a good sight.
Race 4 # 13 Samadji - Solid 1L 2nd MV 1200m 23/08/08 races handy and likes MV, good 2nd up record, liked the way he hit the line last start and will be primed for this.
Race 5 # 6 Dan Baroness - Nice effort last start 06/08/08 1200m MV Slow Track, raced on the pace but was blocked for a run at the 400m and also in the straight. Got clear late and flew to miss buy .5L
Race 6 # 2 Pompeii Ruler - I think everyone saw him charging down the outside last start, unbeaten 2nd up and 2/2 at 1600m.
He will be charging home once again, just hope Maldivian hasn't pinched to much of a break on him at the 400m.

Rosehill
Race 5 # 10 Stone Canyon - Got way out of his ground Newcastle 26/08/08 1400m, got a split 250m mark and ran home strongly to get pipped on the line a neck. 1500m should be ideal and you should get a decent price.
Race 7 # 5 Theseo - Slowly away 30/08/08 Rosehill 1100m, didn't get going until the last 100m and finished of nicely down the outside beaten 2.2L. 1300m may still be a bit short but will be running on again.
Race 8 # 4 Whitefriars - Caught 3 wide at the 800m & 400m, pushed even wider around the turn, still ran on strongly beaten only 1.7. Hopefuly he will get a bit more luck in the run and should be very hard to hold out.

Morphettville
Race 4 # 2 Sparks Fly - Missed the kick Caulfield 1400m 30/08/08, pushed 4 wide at the 400m, showed a nice turn of foot last 200m only beaten 1L. The step up to 1600m is ideal and will be hard to beat.

Great weekend of racing, good luck all
