I only take note of your top rated horse's price. Any race with equal top rated horses is eliminated. I then eliminate all horses rated > $3.20. I have also ignored the WA rated and NZ rated races

Hi,
I wonder if you could do another update for me?
I've just gone back and looked over all the results since the beginning of June and checked out the distances of the races to see if there was a pattern there. My suspicions about certain distances were largely confirmed, so this should help me with rating races in the future.
This was the overall picture for top raters $3.20 or less. But this is just using Unitab figures, so I'm sure you could come up with a better result elsewhere:
Saturdays only Qld/NSW/Vic/SA - Sole top raters $3.20 or less
QLD - selections 63, wins 23 (36.5%), return $63.40 (+0.6%)
NSW - selections 58, wins 19 (32.8%), return $51.00 (-12%)
VIC - selections 76, wins 31 (40.8%), return $85.00 (+11.8%)
SA - selections 70, wins 33 (47.1%), return $99.60 (+42.3%)
Total - selections 267, wins 106 (39.7%), return $299.00 (+12%)
Anyway, then I tried to refine it further using what I believed was the best distance range to concentrate on:
Distance 1250-1600 only
QLD - selections 19, wins 10 (52.6%), return $29.50 (+55.3%)
NSW - selections 24, wins 8 (33.3%), return $20.10 (-16.3%)
VIC - selections 33, wins 14 (42.4%), return $39.90 (+20.1%)
SA - selections 32, wins 18 (56.3%), return $55.70 (+74%)
Total - selections 108, wins 50 (46.3%), return $145.20 (+34.4%)
Look how much the Qld figures shot up!!! And SA and Vic also improved. But unfortunately, still no good news for NSW. So I went looking for a distance range where the Sydney selections actually WERE successful. And I found out that staying races (2000m+) produced 7 wins from 12 selections and a 62% profit! Interesting. All other races shorter than 2000m in Sydney produced a 31.4% loss.
